What scientists do (or should do) is to make observations based on the evidence. In this context, Trump has provided a plethora of evidence about his behavior, intentions, personality characteristics, biases, etc.. Most other Presidents have not provided such evidence about themselves to the extent that Trump has.
Does that mean that other Presidents are not like Trump? Who knows? Maybe the evidence is hidden and has not been revealed to the world to the same extent that Trump's evidence has.
To the rational thinker, all we have to go on is evidence - and to draw inferences and hypothesis based on that evidence.
I would say that Trump has provided the world with more evidence of his moral character, flaws, idiosyncracies, etc. than any other President in US history. Hence there is more data that can be analyzed to arrive at an opinion of his personality. Maybe that is one reason why he is a target for more attacks? Maybe the availability of data on Trump is one reason why it is easier to form an opinion about him than other Presidents?
IMHO, Trump is his own worst enemy - a self-imploding person - akin to the US Empire's self-imploding trajectory.
