I think you misunderstand. I am not comparing Trump to any other President. Almost all of them are war criminals (IMHO).
What I am suggesting is that Trump is predictable (despite so-called media pundits calling him unpredictable). And he is predictable precisely because he only cares about himself and nothing else and every decision he makes is based on his internal calculations of self-interest. He comes across as unpredictable since his internal self-interest calculations are opaque.
Where he differs from other Presidents is that other Presidents, for the most part, care about more than just themselves.
Yes, my point is that when people are critical of Trump the attack is personal, which you are also doing. This has been true from the beginning of his presidency. Sometime people's responses to him are absurd. I really like Jeffery Sacks and he's on a rant about the neocon agenda which is driving the war in Ukraine, true, but he stops himself mid-sentence to say he never got a good night sleep the whole time Trump was in office. Now Biden has given him good cause not get a good night's sleep, but he would never say that, nor would it be the case. I think Trump was treated this way because they took their lead from his opponent, Clinton, who made it very personal with Trump, and even his base when she referenced them as a half basket of deplorables. He's racist, a sexist, he's a this and a that, and he hired some prostitutes to pee on the bad Obama slept on with his wife in Russia. They came up with the lie of Russia-gate to delegitimize him from the get go, which undermined all his policies. They also used him to become more and more authoritarian. January 6, an insurrection, what BS, and then hold an unconstitutional Jan 6 comm. Now Biden is saying he almost made us lose America. He didn't come across as unpredictable to me. Trump sustained more criticism then Biden has even with his war in Ukraine, and hundreds of thousands dead, and now his support of a genocide in the ME which I think is going to trigger other wars. You're not making it personal with Biden, and he is a highly flawed character. You think Biden really cares about you?
No it wasn't, and I was able to view the whole thing. He said go in peace, and no mention that they should go on an attack. Who was killed, a young woman by a policeman, and no need for that kill. No one else died and if you believe there was you are very much mistaken. Can't you see how they are using it, to make sure Trump doesn't run. Like the Russia-gate bullshit. Biden says we almost lost America that day, more bull shit. Four hundred thousand or more Ukrainian dead under Biden's administration and now he's supporting a genocide. What is it, up to 8 million let into America illegally and do you think it's our kindness from a man who has none to give? No for the votes. We can't take care of American's in need, so we let in millions who we will make promises to, but never keep.
I agree with you Lisa! I don't understand why some groups of people keep minimizing the significance of Jan 6.
I may not agree with a lot of the over-the-top rhetoric of "revolution, insurrection, overthrow of Government, overthrow of democracy, etc.", but it is and will always be a watershed moment in American history.
I cannot imagine something like this having happened under any other US President. So the obvious question to ask is - what is it about Trump that brought about this event? Was it "the election was stolen" lies con that he used on his supporters? Was it inciteful speech and rhetoric? Was it something about his personality?
I am constantly amazed by how many people continue to be conned by Trump's fake "concern for America", his fake "care about his people", etc.
(Not to mention that he is a textbook case of a fascistic personality)
It would be disastrous for him to win. He's a sociopathic criminal and a traitor who's encouraged the open revival of the racist Confederate mindset. How deeply discouraging that our only other option is a fanatical Zionist for whom the death of 30,000 people imprisoned in a ghetto is of no import.
Trump's elected, but his win is due to Russian interference, a lie pushed by the democrats, but no one has been held accountable. The democrats win the house during his presidency so they impeach him. He's running against Biden, and there's talk about Biden's son's laptop that could undermine his chances of winning so some 50 CIA agents sign on to the lie its Russian disinformation, and on and on. Who trusts anything the democrats have to say? Jan 6 comm, was totally unconstitutional, and it's where little miss Cheney got to stroll her father around, a man who pushed us into a war that killed and displaced millions, on a lie, not to mention Guantanamo and his black sites. During the unconstitutional Jan 6 comm 3 republicans oversee the democrat's charges against Trump, and all hate his guts. You don't like him fine, but what happened during his term in office further undermined the fragile democracy we already have. Think about it, he wanted to get along with Russia, and the dems didn't want to here that, since under Obama we supported the coup in Ukraine whose purpose was to get rid of Putin. Norm Chomsky at the beginning of the Russia/Ukrainian war, said there was only one statesmen who could stop it, and that was Trump. He's not all good, but he is not all bad, and you can't believe what they say when from the beginning of his presidency they wanted to overturn his win.
What bothered me most during the Trump years was watching a very conspicuous, and obvious attempt to overturn a presidential election with one lie after another. When they couldn't do it through Russia-gate they impeached him in the house once they had the majority. They called a riot and insurrection trying to prevent him from ever running again. Why? They continue to put up one road block after another during his presidential run now, all BS! The democrats are coming across as very autocratic, like they want a one party system. They foiled his attempts to get along with Russia. Why? I use to be a registered democrat, but never again. I don't trust them one bit. Schiff routinely tried to get posts taken down from twitter. The CIA says their's nothing to Biden's son's lap top, just Russian propaganda. BS! Take it all in, and there's more, and it just says something is really wrong. Biden comes out with that on January 6 we almost lost America. Well, if that's the case those capital police really helped as I watched them let hundreds in through the front door. Why do you think they let all these aliens in and so many that now the states have to handle the overflow. They did it for votes and more votes! Their reasons is pure BS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not to mention they have ignored the American poor.
you say >> "Why do you think they let all these aliens in and so many that now the states have to handle the overflow. They did it for votes and more votes!"
Here's the problem with that logic: Illegal aliens don't get to vote. Only US citizens are able to.
Here you might ask: Well, these illegal aliens will become citizens.
My response: When is the last time that illegal aliens became US citizens? And if such a process does happen to be in place, how long might an illegal (or undocumented) immigrant have to wait? And will they be granted voting rights? Or just working rights and paying taxes?
Here's another question: How does one know which way an illegal alien will vote (when and if they do become US citizens) ? Does anyone really know? Is there any way to predict such things? From what I see, there are quite a few Cubans, Latinos, etc. that vote Republican. There are many that also vote Democrat.
To summarize, letting in "illegal aliens" to generate more votes (regardless for which party it is) is a myth - one that is propagated more so by Republicans as a way to create fear, resentment, and anger against people that are simply trying to survive - and as a way to turn out more Republican voters to the voting booths.
Eventually these people will vote and that's what I meant to say, and he's hoping the'll vote for democrats who let them in, and in staggering numbers. So why do you think a man who funds a genocide is letting so many people in? Out of the goodness of heart when he doesn't even have one? Please, Trump is being used to say, look he wanted to build a wall to keep you out, and out of love I am saying come in, one and all no matter the problems that it is creating and if you didn't have parents up in arms how long would their stay have been? I a had tape of old Joe saying that he going to build the biggest wall of all, , really big so no one can come in. Who are you protecting? They are a source of votes, please. Here's his plan.
I'm going to deconstruct some of the assumptions you make, so as to shed some light behind some of the true motivations behind US Immigration Policy in regards to "Illegal Aliens":
Assumption 1: Eventually these people will vote. Does anyone really know that? Why do people assume that?
Assumption 2: If illegal aliens actually are able to vote in some future time frame theoretically, why do people assume they will vote Democratic? Are there any statistics that say or suggest that illegal aliens will for a fact vote Democratic?
Observation: You provide a link to his DACA plan. Plans are all well and good. But what is the probability that such a plan will be approved by both the House and the Senate? Democrats have been making variations of such plans for decades now. Not a single Democratic establishment has come remotely close to achieving it. With even less support for Democrats currently than ever before in recent history, I doubt such plans have a shot in hell of being passed. So then, why is Biden (and the democrats) pushing such a plan? Simple. To get more democrats to show up to the voting booths to vote for them. So this is a strategy to mobilize current US Citizens (democrats) to vote for them, similar to how the Republicans use fear, angst, etc. to get current US Citizens (republicans) to vote for them.
Also I didn't get your statement -> "Who are you protecting?" I didn't understand that. In what way am I providing protection? And to whom?
I am not as sure as you seem to be that other presidents care about more than just themselves. It is just that Trump was more out there about his self interest and lack of respect for others, including women.
Yes, opinions such as these (yours and mine) cannot be resolved in any objective way.
What scientists do (or should do) is to make observations based on the evidence. In this context, Trump has provided a plethora of evidence about his behavior, intentions, personality characteristics, biases, etc.. Most other Presidents have not provided such evidence about themselves to the extent that Trump has.
Does that mean that other Presidents are not like Trump? Who knows? Maybe the evidence is hidden and has not been revealed to the world to the same extent that Trump's evidence has.
To the rational thinker, all we have to go on is evidence - and to draw inferences and hypothesis based on that evidence.
I would say that Trump has provided the world with more evidence of his moral character, flaws, idiosyncracies, etc. than any other President in US history. Hence there is more data that can be analyzed to arrive at an opinion of his personality. Maybe that is one reason why he is a target for more attacks? Maybe the availability of data on Trump is one reason why it is easier to form an opinion about him than other Presidents?
IMHO, Trump is his own worst enemy - a self-imploding person - akin to the US Empire's self-imploding trajectory.
I think you misunderstand. I am not comparing Trump to any other President. Almost all of them are war criminals (IMHO).

Spot on...
So Jan 6 was no biggie to you?
No it wasn't, and I was able to view the whole thing. He said go in peace, and no mention that they should go on an attack. Who was killed, a young woman by a policeman, and no need for that kill. Sorry, Fran, but I just couldn't disagree more. Have you read the GOP plans for if he wins? Project 2025?

I can see your mind is made up and so is mine.
poor little trumpy
Yeah, so many attacks, so many lies told about you. Poor little trump, and it seems you bought them all, poor little Susie.
Ha ha, fran. seems like you bought all of Trump's lies and bullshit.
Why are anti-Trumpers so persistent, and often so rude? Susan do not respond to anything I say, and I will do the same for you
rude?? you accuse anyone of being rude?? ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
True!
Palin is a bimbo. That image of her shooting wolves from a helicopter was grotesque.
