America is drowning in guns and I'm not seeing any shining examples of much of anything. We are the most placid, cowed, throttled, duped, religious, authoritarian, pro-forma, boot-licking, hive-minded, nationalistic, and violent population on earth. As long as WalMart has an entire row of dog food choices, it's all good.
I'm not anti-gun; I just don't see where gun ownership makes any difference when a population is so easily mired in Bibles, partisan and identity politics, military and police fetish-worship, and insipid speeches about American Exceptionalism.
We aren't drowning in guns, wish we had a lot more at the moment. The mentality you just expressed is typical of the PC culture in America and it's been well-oiled. The government should have all the guns to 'protect' you, just call 911, and all that BS. And you name almost everyone as the Bad People (but you of course, so enlightened), you forgot the Pedophiles though, and Social Marxists, for some reason? And in your haste to denigrate an entire nation, the only nation left that really has a good portion of the people not willing to become Social Marxists and pay that price (again)...amuses me. There are lines that cannot be crossed, words are words, even the Declaration of Independence, was just that, action will have to back up those words eventually. No doubt the Founders were very Bad People too (well-oiled PC narrative), but they knew one thing, defending yourself from bad government was a right, not a privilege. America is obviously yet full of American Exceptionalism, because we will not give up our right to self protection and ability to throw off bad government without a fight, and they know it (as bad a Bad People as we are...#LMAO!).
That you don’t see how guns make a difference? That question? Really? Guns are and were the great equalizer. Gorilla War is how things are fought now, 4th and 5th Gen Warfare tactics. Yes, Riff, guns were a BIG game changer and they still are against enemies foreign and domestic. It’s the difference between being a man or a slave…huge difference.
OK, let me try this one last time. My point, as clearly as I can make it: I fail to see how widespread gun ownership has impeded or effected in any way the ongoing erosion of rights and liberties we've experienced in the United States since the passage of the Patriot Act.

Thanks for the lecture. Now could you address my point?
