Yes. I hate to say it out loud, but I've been signing petitions since Biden was given the Democratic spot over others that were far more popular and desired. I'm still emailing the DNC and DCCC to select a new Democratic candidate to run for office. I wrote that I'm sure Biden will lose the popular vote.
Alas, he is being forced on those of us that have seen his dark side for years. Corporatist, racist, misogynist and classist, he is, but he has thrown crumbs to our causes (while giving loafs to his masters) so as to give the busy and distracted democrats a reason to support him.
If the DCCC stick with him and I'm sure they will, I will have to not eat that day and vote for him.
I hear you— it is a mess. But I have this ridiculous faith in the Universe, and I think/feel/hope that good can come out of bad, or even banal. I do see throwing us crumbs as being useful, as they at least alleviate some misery for some people. Today I see he has been turned down by Saudi Arabia on his protection of the Red Sea fiasco, and he has (maybe) withheld Apache helicopters from Nuttyyahoo so cracks are beginning to appear. Rumor has it (Scott Ritter) that Biden thinks he needs to be a war presidink to get re-elected so I’m sending him a scorecard every time he does something to help Gaza, that he’s this much closer to securing my vote and that much farther from burning in hell. It doesn’t do much but make me feel better, but still. I’m glad you’ve taken on the DCCC. What loser bunch they are!
Losers are correct, but it depends on what it is they want to win, eh? I don't think they care much or at all about the Democratic Constituents. It's been so darn long since they have bothered to allow our preferred type of Democrat to run for National office. Always only offering up the same, the Choice Between Two Evils, only now they've created an intolerable, untenable and dangerous situation.
It would be welcome if they were more directly democratic in their national primaries like the republicans. Funny to write that, but the republicans have open primaries and fear their constituents. The republicans are embracing orange because they are afraid of their voters. Imagine the DCCC even being aware of our preferences.
My opinion, of course, but one I arrived at after many disappointments at their shenanigans and their marginalizing of the Democrats I want the party to embrace and mirror in value and sense of justice for all earth's inhabitants.
