The Palestine Action activists arrested for previous acts of vandalism (pre October 2023 BTW - they aren't a new phenonemon) on Elbit factories, and companies associated with Elbit, were acquitted by juries when they explained their rationale. In more recent cases they were expressly forbidden to say in court why they took the action they did and so were found guilty. This is well described in the documentary "To Kill a War Machine" - but you may not be able to view it currently for legal reasons...
Those arrests bring to mind incidents that occurred in Ireland during the Iraq war.
The government was allowing Amerikkkan fighter jets to refuel at Shannon Airport; outraged women were rushing the tarmac and taking axes to the jets.
At trial, the women were found Not Guilty because they “acted out of conscience”. Only in Ireland!
I highly doubt the results will be the same in Thinks-It’s-Still-Great Britain.
