I never said Palestine was trivial - it is important and major. But it is one issue and it totally contradicts his positions on military and US empire and US role in the world, so I suspect he could be doing it because the Israel lobby is so powerful in the electoral arena (but not necessarily in governing).

Maybe I am being harsh, I am old enough to mistrust anyone named Kennedy. But I think that to fail to act principally on such a major issue reveals a weakness and lack of true commitment.
