I always phrase it that the only difference between the two parties is marketing, its like the pepsi challenge, regardless of which glass of soda you choose Pepsi or Coke you are still left with a glass of sugar water.
Here in Australia we have the same problem, Liberal ( the Liberal Party here in Aus being right wing ) or Liberal Lite. I like to say 'Same pig, different lipstick'.
