P.S. I’m a US citizen and I do plan to vote D because I have this visceral thing about Trump, but I don’t have any illusions otherwise.

Vote third party, if you have a conscience.

Considering it.

There is no such thing as a 'nice' or 'joyful' genocider. The only vibes Kamuddle brings to the game are from 2,000-lb bombs blowing defenseless, overcrowded refugee camps to bits. There is no other issue bigger than genocide and there is no difference on that score between Kamuddle and Trump.

A vote for a third party is a vote for Drumpf.

Pfft! What if the 50% of eligible voters who haven't been voting all decided to vote for a third party? Would that be "stealing votes from the Democrats"?

Exactly. If all these supposed moral people that are fed up with voting for evil puppets, that only serve the oligarchs, actually voted with a conscience, it seems like a third party could have a chance to win. Instead the morons vote for their kids to die in wars fought for oligarchs and to cut off their own legs. It’s fucking irrational and completely stupid, to be presented with the information that democrats are evil, genocidal, warmongers that could give two fucks about you, yet you still vote for them. It’s quite possibly the dumbest thing someone can say.

That's it, have a bash, don't just fucking sit there! Throw a spanner (sorry, monkeywrench) in the works. Even if the oligarchs just crush your disruption, at least you'll have forced them to admit how much democracy you DON'T have, and the rest of the world won't have to hear all about your elections every four years.

I know what the outcome will be. It will be shown we don’t live in a democracy. A third party won’t be allowed to win. There will have to be blood shed. Here’s to hoping our people in the military know whose side they are on and don’t participate in killing the proletariat. Bastille day in the US.

And the difference between Kamuddle and Trump on support for the US/Israel genocide in Gaza is....?

There is no 'nicer' genocider with a better 'vibe'. A vote for either makes you complicit in genocide.

So what you're saying is that democracy is dead in the US and has been since it became a two-party system?

Oh. One of those comments reiterated time and time again! Both parties are the same.

Why are you so ignorant. Kamala is possibly more evil than Trump. Why can’t you get it through your thick skull that they are the same entity.

Easy now, CrumpledForeskin.

Opening (then continuing) with insults only turns these spaces into Youtube comments sections. Play the ball, not the player.

Meanwhile, yes, Kamala is at least as evil, probably moreso.

I’ve had this conversation with him before. I wouldn’t be so quick to anger if he wasn’t continually saying these comments, that have no logic to them. I know it looks like I jumped down his throat for a simple comment.

Fair enough. 😉

I try and remember: Don't argue with idiots; they'll only drag you down to their level then beat you with experience.

But I'm an idiot and forget my own advice. If you see me rising/diving for bait, then please keep me from turning this space rancid!

I will be voting for the Socialist Equality Party as I do in every presidential election. Joseph Kishore for President and Jerry White for Vice President. I never voted Dem again after 1992.

CrumpledForeskin's avatar

Wouldn’t it be nice if we were arguing over who to vote for and our choices were the Socialist Equality Party, or the Green Party. Instead there are two parties controlled by the most evil people in the world, and most of the brain dead public will be voting for one of them.

Jack Horner's avatar

Wouldn't it be nice if Yanks could effortlessly envisage being in any voting scenario with multiple choices and freedom to choose.

I keep hearing the 'either-or' concept of democracy, though admittedly SEP or Greens would be a better forced choice.

CrumpledForeskin's avatar

Choice is what makes a democracy. In a true democracy, all groups should have equal access to run for office. A group of genocidal Zionists, and a group of peace loving hippies should have equal access and the citizens votes should decide. Even if Dr. Stein somehow won, she would never be allowed in office. The electors from the electoral college wouldn’t let it happen, or the CIA would just shoot her. We live in a totalitarian plutocracy that trot out a couple of actors every 4 years, to pretend like the citizens have some say in what happens.

Here's the 'visceral thing':

A Soviet and an Yank are flying on a plane to the US. They chat and the Yank asks the Russian's reason for visiting. "To study propaganda" comes the reply.

"Why would you come to the USA to learn about propaganda?", asks the astounded American.

"That's why."
